Beloved, what is that one thing around which everything else revolves in your life?
Some will answer, family, children, career, significant other, and the list goes on.
I submit to you that while all these things are important and could be on the list of our priorities, God, our creator has a priority above others for us.
Jesus Christ tells us that God’s kingdom and righteousness should be our highest aim. We have to be deliberate.
This isn’t achieved through passivity; Matthew 6:33 uses the word “seek,” which implies activity and persistence.
“But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.” – Matthew 6:33 AMP
God’s kingdom must be pursued every day, moment by moment of our lives, so that other things will fall into place.
The last sentence in verse 33, Jesus promised that ALL THESE (OTHER) THINGS will be added also when we prioritize God’s kingdom and His righteousness.
To seek the Father’s kingdom is to submit to His rule over every area of our life. The bottom line is obedience.
To seek God’s righteousness means cooperating with His process of transforming us into Jesus’ image.
An integral part of this process is the renewing of our mind with Scripture. The Word of God keeps the Father’s viewpoint and instructions fresh in our thinking.
We must let our thoughts and actions be guided by the Word of God.
Take a moment to evaluate who or what dominates your thoughts and affections:
Where do you invest time and money?
What desires govern your choices?
Making Christ top priority requires submission to God, obedience to His Word, and trust in His ways.
He will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches ( Philippians 4:9)

Most gracious God, thank You for this day, glory to Your Holy name for preserving us until today.
Thank You Lord Jesus for giving us Your Word in Matthew 6:33 concerning what the priority in our lives should be.
I pray that You would give us the desire to put first, Your kingdom and righteousness.
Lord, help us to respond to Your unconditional love towards us.
Help us to trust You to supply our needs according to Your glorious riches.
Holy Spirit, abide with each one of us in our going in and going out throughout this today.
