Beloved, take heart, be encouraged and remember that:
Jesus’ Word calms to the storm.
“He said to them, “Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was [at once] a great and wonderful calm [a perfect peacefulness].” – Matthew 8:26 AMP
God still rules over our storms.
“The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all [the universe].” – Psalms 103:19 AMP
God is a shelter from our storms.
“For You have been a stronghold for the helpless, A stronghold for the poor in his distress, A shelter from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of tyrants Is like a rainstorm against a wall.” – Isaiah 25:4 AMP
We are safe even in the midst of our storms.
“But as they were sailing, He fell asleep. And a fierce gale of wind swept down [as if through a wind tunnel] on the lake, and they began to be swamped, and were in great danger. They came to Jesus and woke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are about to die!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging, violent waves, and they ceased, and it became calm [a perfect peacefulness]. And He said to them, “Where is your faith [your confidence in Me]?” They were afraid and astonished, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the sea, and they obey Him?” – Luke 8:23-25 AMP
We can rest under God’s care even in our storms.
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].” – Psalms 91:1 AMP
God will (at some point) make our storms be still.
“He hushed the storm to a gentle whisper, So that the waves of the sea were still.” – Psalms 107:29 AMP
We can hide under God’s wings until the storm passes you by.
“Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious and merciful to me, For my soul finds shelter and safety in You, And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge and be confidently secure Until storm/ destruction passes by.” – Psalms 57:1 AMP
God will be sure to bring us out of the storm.
“Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He brought them out of their distresses.” – Psalms 107:28 AMP
NOW LET US PRAY
Great and Mighty God, thank You for this glorious day on earth.
Thank You, for stilling the storms in our lives with Your breath.
Lord, we glorify Your name for never living us nor forsake us even when the storms of life are raging.
Holy Spirit, protect us and our children from the wickedness of the wicked.
Abide with us through out the day and always.
