Today August 25th is actually my 70th Birthday. I give all GLORY TO GOD! HE KEPT ME!
My heart is filled with immense gratitude to God as I celebrate another year of Gods grace, mercy and faithfulness in my life. All glory and adoration belong to Him.
Everyday, I am in awe of God’s goodness, His mercy and faithfulness concerning:
My husband, Babatunde (O’Sheg) Oshinowo Sr.
My children, Dr. Adeoti Oshinowo (Rich Schneider), Babatunde Oshinowo Jr. (Sarah), and Timilehin Oshinowo (Vanessa).
My precious grandchildren, aka my Rainbows:
Evan Hysler, Lily Yondt, Naomi Ekundayo Oshinowo, Caleb Oluwasegun Oshinowo, Zion Oluwatimilehin Oshinowo, Titus Oluwafemi Oshinowo, Eden Oluwanikemi Oshinowo, Eribel Oluwatomisin Oshinowo-Schneider and Joy Mofeade Oshinowo.
I am thankful for all my siblings and their family and all members of the Ademodi family.
I am thankful for all members of the Oshinowo family.
I am also thankful for my Church family at Naperville Church of Christ.
This 70th birthday has caused me to reflect on life in general and God’s perspective of human life through His Word.
It is my ardent belief that God created all human life to have a relationship with Him which last for eternity, and that our lives here on earth is to prepare us for eternity on the other side of heaven.
Through God’s grace, we must focus on eternity. Such focus must be reflected in our daily obedience to God’s will, in our choices and decision making and how we treat one another.
God takes absolute responsibility for our wellbeing as we surrender our lives to Him through Jesus Christ and depend on Him to lead, guide and direct us to the center of His will.
Every birthday is not only a reminder that we are growing older but also that we are drawing nearer to eternity.
Our greatest achievement is not a long life but a life that has prepared and ready for heaven in eternity.
Jesus said, “Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven” (Matthew 6:20).
One day, birthdays will end, but eternity will never end. Let us live each day with heaven in view, walking in holiness, loving God in obedience to His will, and serving others faithfully.
I pray for everyone here, that our greatest celebration will be the day we hear our Lord say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Heaven must remain in our daily focus as our final destination.
I am eternally grateful to the Triune God (God, the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) for His LOVE and the life He has and continue to give me despite the ups and downs.
HE KEPT ME and showed Himself faithful all the way.
I TRUST that He will continue to sustain me according to His promises in Isaiah 46:4.
I thank God for blessing me with parents who nurtured me.

I pray that the Lord continue to strengthen all of us, increase our fruitfulness, and keep our hearts fixed on eternity.
