Beloved, let us continue our exploration into our question for this week, WHO IS GOD TO YOU?
𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐔𝐆𝐄 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐌
One of God’s powerful promises is that He will be our refuge from the storm.
Isaiah 25:4 AMP tells us…
“For You have been a stronghold for the helpless, A stronghold for the poor in his distress, A shelter from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of tyrants Is like a rainstorm against a wall.”
The psalmist also declares in Psalms 46:1 AMP that…
“God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble.”
𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄
1 John 5:20 AMP tells us…
“And we [have seen and] know [by personal experience] that the Son of God has [actually] come [to this world], and has given us understanding and insight so that we may [progressively and personally] know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.”
𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐃 𝐖𝐇𝐎 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐒
Genesis 22:14 AMP tells us…
“So Abraham named that place The Lord Will Provide. And it is said to this day, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be seen and provided.”
Also, Philippians 4:19-20 AMP encourages us about God’s providence…
“And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”
𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐄 (𝟐 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟑:𝟏𝟔)
2 Thessalonians 3:16 AMP tells us…
“Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in every way [that peace and spiritual well-being that comes to those who walk with Him, regardless of life’s circumstances]. The Lord be with you all.”
Jesus said in John 14:27 AMP…
“Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]”
Also, Jesus said in John 4:10 AMP
“Jesus answered her, “If you knew [about] God’s gift [of eternal life], and who it is who says, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him [instead], and He would have given you living water (eternal life).”
𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 (𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟒:𝟏𝟎)
In John 4:10 AMP…
“Jesus answered her, “If you knew [about] God’s gift [of eternal life], and who it is who says, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him [instead], and He would have given you living water (eternal life).”
𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐃 (𝐏𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝟏𝟒𝟒:𝟐)
Referring to God, the psalmist said in Psalms 144:2 AMP..
“My [steadfast] lovingkindness and my fortress,
My high tower and my rescuer,
My shield and He in whom I take refuge, Who subdues my people under me.”
NOW LET US PRAY
Gracious God, thank You for this blessed day of life. Glory to Your name.
Lord, You are our refuge from the storms of life. Thank You.
Thank You Lord for eternal life.
We are grateful for providing for our every need.
Thank You for being our peace. Our Lord of peace.
You Lord are our living water.
You are our shield. Glory to your holy name.
Holy Spirit, thank You for Your abiding presence with us at all times we welcome You
into our lives and we welcome you in our midst.
Abide with each one of us in our going in and going out.
