Beloved, let us continue our exploration into our question for this week, WHO IS GOD TO YOU?
𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄
The scripture calls Jesus Christ “The bread of life”
Jesus said in John 6:35 AMP …
“Jesus replied to them, “I am the Bread of Life. The one who comes to Me will never be hungry, and the one who believes in Me [as Savior] will never be thirsty [for that one will be sustained spiritually].”
𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐇𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄
The Psalmist in Psalms 32:7 AMP declares…
“You are my hiding place; You, Lord, protect me from trouble; You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah.”
𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓
God has always presented Himself as light for us, especially in a dark world.
Isaiah 60:20 AMP tells us…
“Your sun will no longer set, Nor will your moon wane; For the Lord will be your everlasting light, And the days of your mourning will be over.”
𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐚 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑
God’s name is a powerful force in the spiritual realm.
Proverbs 18:10 AMP declares…
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous runs to it and is safe and set on high [far above evil].”
𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄
Jesus Christ through His Word invites us to find our rest in Him.
Jeremiah 50:6 AMP tells us…
“My people have become lost sheep; Their shepherds have led them astray. They have made them turn aside [to the seductive places of idolatry] on the mountains. They have gone along [from one sin to another] from mountain to hill; They have forgotten their [own] resting place.”
Also Isaiah 53:6 AMP
“All of us like sheep have gone astray, We have turned, each one, to his own way; But the Lord has caused the wickedness of us all [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing] To fall on Him [instead of us].”
𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐓𝐇
Jesus said in John 16:13 AMP…
“But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].”
NOW LET US PRAY.
Father in heaven, thank You for giving us this day. We rejoice in this blessing Lord.
Thank You for being the Bread of life for us. You gave us life in abundance.To You be all glory and adoration.
Triune God, You have been our shelter and hiding place. We give You honor for Your protection.
Thank You for being our everlasting light in this dark world. Because of You, Lord, we are victorious.
Your name has always been our strong tower, in which we can run to for safety. Thank You.
We bless Your name for giving us a resting place in You. We have no other God but You. Father, help us to find our resting place in You.
Lord, we pray that Your spirit of truth will continue to guide us into Your eternal freedom. Set us free Lord to do Your will at all times.
Holy Spirit, thank You for Your abiding presence with us at all times we welcome You into our lives and we welcome you in our midst.
Abide with each one of us in our going in and going out.
