Beloved, our God is a loving and faithful God, who promised us over and over in His Word that He will not leave us nor abandon us regardless of what we are going through.
1 Samuel 12:22 AMP tells us that…
“The Lord will not abandon His people for His great name’s sake, because the Lord has been pleased to make you a people for Himself.”
Even when we have sinned or disobeyed God, He loves us enough to welcome us with open arms when we:
ask for forgiveness
and repent from our sins through the works of reconciliation that Jesus won for us on the cross.
The Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9 AMP tells us…
“If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].”
This verse emphasizes that confessing our sins to God—meaning agreeing with Him about our wrongdoing—results in His forgiveness and cleansing, a promise based on Jesus’ sacrifice, and is an ongoing part of the Christian walk, not just a one-time event.
NOW LET US PRAY
Most loving God, thank You for another day of life.
Lord, thank You that Your faithfulness works in accordance with Your character. Your unfailing love does not waver or recede.
You are full of pure passion for us Your people, and that will never change. Thank You!
Father, transform our hearts as we meditate on Your exceeding goodness every day.
The promise of Your nearness, Your constant support, and Your unending mercy is more than we can comprehend.
Thank You for never abandoning us. You do not leave Your people, and You do not walk away from those who look to You. Thank You, Jehovah God!
We are part of God’s family, and he will never abandon his children.
Lord, I am firmly established in Your kingdom, for You are my entry point and my eternal salvation.
I will not fear, no matter what today brings, for You God are with me. You will not leave my side as You promised. Thank You, Lord Jesus.
Abide with us at all times Lord Jesus, as we abide in You.
