We have all made purchases with manufacturers instructions and manuals on how to assemble or use it. However, if you are like me, you are very eager to put your new purchase to use. To the point that many times you chose to bypass the manuals and proceeded to assemble or use the product without reading the manufacturers manual. Only to end up assembling the product or using it wrongly to the extent that you either do not enjoy the product as you had intended or delayed the use of the product until you chose to follow the manufacturers instructions.
God is the maker of ALL things on earth, including creating you and me. In other words, He is our “manufacturer” if you will. He has given us instructions on how to do life, a form of life-manual through His Word in the Bible. We are told in the Bible that “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness,” 2 Peter 1:3 (NIV).
No, you will not go wrong if you choose to get plugged into the source of “His divine power” by following God’s life-manual and instructions, so that you will have everything you need for a godly life. You have to choose to get the “knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness” by reading and meditating on the Word of God. He has revealed Himself to us through His Word in the Bible in order to have a knowledge of Him.
God loves you, and He wants you to be right with Him by His grace through Jesus Christ. To know Him is to love Him in your relationship with Him.
If you do not have a relationship with God, the first step in knowing God is to have a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. He is waiting to have a relationship with you. Give your life to Jesus and be baptized. Find a Bible-believing church and grow your relationship with Him as you choose to follow His life-manual in His Word.
