God created the world good, but then sin permeated it, and we now live in a world that is much different than the world God created.
Romans 3.23 ESV) says,
โfor all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.โ
We live in a fallen world, and this โfallennessโ affects everything โ our thinking, our culture, our behavior and our sense of right and wrong.
This is why we see abuse, addiction, perversion, killing of the innocent, rape, incest and all manner of evil. This โfallennessโ also affects even the natural world around us.
Diseases like cancer, heart disease, Alzheimerโs and mental illness are all the effects of sin in the world.
Natural disasters like tornadoes, tsunamis, hurricanes and earthquakes are the reverberations of sin in our natural world.
The Bible tells us that our world is corrupted by sin and is groaning, weakening and struggling under the weight of it.
Romans 8:22 AMP tells usโฆ
โFor we know that the whole creation has been moaning together as in the pains of childbirth until now.โ

1 Peter 1:7 AMP tells usโฆ
โso that the genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in [your] praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.โ

Mighty God, thank You for Your endless mercy and grace on us.
Thank You Jesus for allowing us to get a taste of Your suffering when we go through trials.
Holy Spirit, we glorify Your holy name for Your presence even when we go through trials.
Thank You Lord Jesus for giving us spirit of endurance when we go through trials.
Thank You for the promise of the crown of life when we persevere over trials.
Thank You for always abiding with us Lord Jesus.
