I am glad you asked.
I believe that our loving God knew ahead of time that we will be faced with life situations (especially in a sin-sick world) where we find ourselves overwhelmed with issues that need to be addressed, but we do not know what to do.
The Bible offers great help for all of us no matter where we stand. When we don’t know exactly what to do or how to go about standing up for truth, here are a few places we can begin.
WE NEED DIVINE WISDOM.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives
generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you” (James 1:5). We need God’s guidance to know His will in our situation.
WE MUST TRUST GOD
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6). He is faithful.
PRAY! PRAY! and PRAY!
“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything
[every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.” – Philippians 4:6 AMP.
We are to pray about our situation continually without ceasing. – I Thessalonians 5:17
WE MUST BE CONFIDENT
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” – (Philippians 1:6). We need God-confidence at all times.
WE MUST PERSEVERE
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).Key phrase; “IF WE DO NOT GIVE UP”
WE MUST HAVE HOPE
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who
promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:23-24)
We must keep encouraging ourselves and others that God is absolutely faithful. He already knows what is going to happen, so keep holding onto to hope.
WE MUST PRAISE GOD IN ANY SITUATION
“I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1). Even in moments when we can not see the future and we don’t know exactly what to do, bless the Lord. Give Him praise! Lift him up! As we lift Him up,
His glory is known and seen.
LET US PRAY
Faithful God, thank You for yet another day. Thank You for helping us know what to do when we don’t know what to do. Help us to trust that He who promises is faithful. Abide with us, Lord. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen
Have a blessed day
