Hmm! This question comes across as “arrogant” at first glance. However, when we pay attention to the context, it is a statement of CONFIDENCE reliance in God and His power to shield and protect those who put their TRUST in Him.
The Psalmist states in Psalm 56:11-13 that:
“In God have I put my trust and confident reliance; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Your vows are binding upon me, O God; I will give thank offerings to You. For You have rescued my soul from death, Yes, and my feet from stumbling, So that I may walk before God In the light of life.”
Beloved, in a nutshell,
we are assured that if we put our TRUST and confident reliance in God;
* We have NOTHING to be afraid of
* WHAT CAN ANY MAN DO TO US? because God’s vows are binding upon us.
* He has rescued our souls from death.
* He has kept our feet from stumbling
* So that we may walk before God in the light of life.
LET US PRAY
Faithful Father, thank You for rescuing my soul from death, and for keeping my feet from stumbling. I have nothing to be afraid of because You are my God and I can with confidently say WHAT CAN MAN DO TO ME? Thank You for fighting my battles and for Your vows and covenant towards me. Walk with me Jesus, throughout today and at all times. In Jesus ‘ mighty name I pray. Amen
