Beloved, I submit to you that victory does not start in our circumstances — it starts in our minds.
A believer with a defeated mindset will live beneath what God has promised to us.
But a believer with a VICTORY MINDSET walks in confidence, even before results appear.
We DO NOT fight for victory – We fight from a position of victory in Christ.
Jesus Christ won COMPLETE VICTORY for us on the cross at Calvary with His finished work.
WHY IS VICTORY MINDSET IS IMPORTANT FOR THE BELIEVER IN CHRIST
The reality is that our mindset shapes our reactions, decisions, and level of faith.
If you think you are defeated, you act defeated.
If you think victorious, you stand firm in your faith.
Here are some truths from the Word of God:
Romans 8:37 AMP encourages us…
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].”
1 Corinthians 15:57 AMP
“but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Proverbs 23:7 AMP declares
“For as he (a man) thinks in his heart, so is he [in behavior—one who manipulates]. He says to you, “Eat and drink,” Yet his heart is not with you [but it is begrudging the cost].”
HERE ARE SOME ACTION POINTS FOR DEVELOPING A VICTORY MINDSET
KNOW YOUR POSITION IN CHRIST.
Victory begins with knowing our identity in Christ.
We are not trying to become accepted — we are already in Christ.
Study and meditate on the promises given in God’s Word to those who are in Christ Jesus.
TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR THOUGHTS
We must be aware of what we allow to settle in our thoughts and mind.
Personally, I mentally throw out any thought that does not align with what God says about me.
Do not allow fear and doubt to dominate your mind.
James 1:6-7 is very clear about the perils of doubting
James 1:6-7 AMP tells us…
“But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting [God’s willingness to help], for the one who doubts is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind. For such a person ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything [at all] from the Lord,”
Take every thought captive for Christ.
We must submit and surrender our minds to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5 AMP affirms…
“We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ,”
Speak faith on any situation and circumstances, not defeat Your words reinforce your mindset.
Declare what God says, not what fear suggests about you situation.
Mark 11:23 AMP encourages us to speak faith…
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will].”
Expect God to move on Your behalf as you trust Him.
Faith anticipates breakthrough, even in waiting seasons.
Hebrews 11:1 AMP tells us…
“Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].”
Stay persistent, do not be distracted from your purpose.
Victory often requires endurance.
Quitting guarantees defeat; perseverance invites breakthrough.
Galatians 6:9 AMP encourages us…
“Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in.”

NOW LET US PRAY
Most gracious God, thank You for giving us yet another day of life. Glory to Your Holy Name.
Fathers, we pray that Your Spirit will empower us to develop a victory mindset. Instead of allowing the enemy to discourage us with defeated mindset.
Lord Jesus, help us to submit and surrender our minds to Your Lordship.
Holy Spirit of the living God, only You can guard our minds and help us to take our thoughts captive for Jesus Christ. Thank You, Lord for taking control of our thoughts.
Abide with us at all times Lord Jesus as we abide in You.
Protect our goings and our comings today, order our steps Lord.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen
.
Have a blessed day ![]()
