Beloved, even as believers in Christ, there are times when it feels as though we are bound, limited or restricted in some areas of our lives.
I want you to know that Jesus Christ can set you free. Jesus Christ can break every chain in your life.
The enemy has a strategy in place against us as the children of God.
The devil seeks to oppress, to bind, to limit and to restrict.
However, when God gets involved in our lives,
He brings freedom,
He brings liberty,
He restores and makes you whole again.
When God gets involved in our affairs and in our situation, He releases us from all limitations and restrictions.
Luke 13:10-13 (ESV) says:
10 Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11 And behold, there was a woman who had had a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your disability.” is And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God.
Now, let us focus on verse 12. “When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her,
“Woman, you are freed from your disability.”
Now this woman was freed from her disability. What’s interesting here is that the Bible says she was freed from her disability and not healed. It’s as if Jesus was saying to her “you are no longer confined or imprisoned by your disability.”
This is what Jesus Christ offers us… freedom.
Freedom from oppression,
freedom from sin and death.
I encourage you to believe that Jesus Christ can set you free.
He can set you free from depression and anxiety.
He can set you free from that secret addiction.
He can set you free from the anger and resentment hidden in
your heart.
Jesus Christ can set you free from everything that limits and restricts you.
You are not bound to that situation, because God can turn any situation around.
You are not enslaved by the forces of evil, because Jesus Christ has defeated the devil, He has defeated hell and all of its forces.
I love what the Bible says in Luke 4:17-19 (NKJV):
17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
In Jesus there is healing for the broken-hearted so that they are no longer held hostage by the pain of yesterday.
In Jesus there is liberty for the captives so that they are no longer condemned by their sins but they are forgiven because of the wonderful work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Be encouraged, if you are seeking freedom, seek Jesus. He is the source of ultimate freedom.
NOW LET US PRAY
My heavenly Father, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
I come to You today with a humble spirit.
I come to You with a heart filled with faith and expectation.
You are a God who can bind up all of my wounds.
Because of You, Lord, I am no longer a slave to sin.
Because of You, I am no longer captive to the forces of evil.
I declare Your Word which tells me that greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world!
Meaning that You, King Jesus, have placed within me, the strength to overcome adversity, the strength to overcome the devil and for that I rejoice and I thank You, Lord!
I thank You, because in You I can walk in victory and I have the power to defeat sin.
This is all because of You, and I am grateful.
Because of who You are, Lord, I bow down and glorify You, I humble myself and surrender all that I am to You.
I trust and believe that;
You will liberate me,
You will redeem me, and
You will make me whole again.
I pray for freedom in all areas of my life.
Freedom from any strongholds, any chains that seek to hold me back or hold me down.
Give me freedom in my mind, Lord, freedom from the guilt of past sins and past mistakes.
Your Word in Isaiah 43:18 (NKJV) says, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.”
Help me to let go and forget the former things.
King Jesus give me the grace not to dwell on the past.
Help me to look forward, to look forward to You doing a new thing in my life. Help me to look forward to a life of freedom in Jesus Christ.
Father, I need You to set me free from everything that seeks to bind me or my family.
I need divine intervention.
Help me to let go of everything that weighs me down or tries to limit my belief in You and Your promises.
Lord, help me to let go of the past and let go of any pain, anger, and shame from the past.
Help me to forgive anyone who has disappointed or betrayed me.
Holy Spirit, thank You for softening and renewing my mind.
I pray that You will continue to soften my heart so that I will never be hardened with resentment, bitterness or unforgiveness.
God, I come to You seeking healing in Your arms.
Lord, Make me whole again. Give me the strength to let go and move on from the past.
Lord God, I look forward to a continued future with You.
I embrace a future that is in Your capable hands, one that is filled with love, mercy, and goodness.
As I reach out in prayer, I put my hopes and dreams, my plans and relationships in Your hands.
With You by my side, there is nothing that can hold me back.
I thank You for my freedom, Master Jesus.
HALLELUJAH TO YOU, LORD FOR OUR FREEDOM!!!
