The Spirit unlocks Scripture, teaching truth and reminding us of God’s Word when we need it most.
Jesus says in John 14:26 AMPβ¦
βBut the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, IntercessorβCounselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.β

The Spirit turns fear into faith and gives courage to speak truth and stand firm for Christ.
Acts 1:8 AMP
βBut you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.ββ

He cleanses our hearts and mold us into lives that reflects God’s righteousness.
1 Corinthians 6:11 AMP tells usβ¦
βAnd such were some of you [before you believed]. But you were washed [by the atoning sacrifice of Christ], you were sanctified [set apart for God, and made holy], you were justified [declared free of guilt] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God [the source of the believerβs new life and changed behavior].β

Every believer is gifted – the Spirit empowers us to serve and strengthen the Body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:4-6 AMP
βNow there are [distinctive] varieties of spiritual gifts [special abilities given by the grace and extraordinary power of the Holy Spirit operating in believers], but it is the same Spirit [who grants them and empowers believers].
And there are [distinctive] varieties of ministries and service, but it is the same Lord [who is served]. And there are [distinctive] ways of working [to accomplish things], but it is the same God who produces all things in all believers [inspiring, energizing, and empowering them].β

The Spirit grows fruit – love, joy, peace, faith – Christ living through us, not self-effort.
Galatians 5:22-23 AMP
βBut the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.β

Even in trials, the Spirit renews our strength and floods our hearts with peace and confident hope.
Romans 15:13 AMP
βMay the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.β

When words fail, the Spirit intercedes – praying God’s perfect will on our behalf.
Romans 8:26 AMP tells usβ¦
βIn the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words.β
