Today, let us talk about “WAR PRAYERS,” and through the grace and the leading of the Holy Spirit, we will be enlightened about War Prayers a bit.
I submit to you that it is God’s desire for us to “use our hands to War.”
Psalms 144:1-2 AMP declares:
“Blessed be the Lord, my Rock and my great strength, Who trains my hands for war And my fingers for battle;
My [steadfast] lovingkindness and my fortress, My high tower and my rescuer, My shield and He in whom I take refuge, Who subdues my people under me.
*WAR PRAYERS*
Too often, some of us believers pray like cowards. Yes, you heard me!
We need not be fearful or timid to fight with the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
In fact, the Word of God in Hebrews 4:16 invites us to come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy.
We need to pray like warriors.
A war prayer is offensive by nature.
A War Prayer affirms the supremacy of Yahweh, Jehovah God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, and the glory of His Son and our savior, Jesus.
A War Prayer attacks cultural strongholds of idol worship and self glorification.
A war prayer removes the emphasis on self and places it on God. He is our focus.
War Prayer purges the sin that spreads cancerously within a man.
War Prayer brings our needs and complaints before the Lord, but even in the worst of trials, it is God-centered.
When praying war prayers, we must pray as the Lord leads you. He is not looking for perfect eloquence. He is looking for a fighting heart.
Sometimes, the war prayers may be somewhat repetitious because we are using the same weaponery, and that’s OK.
All warrior tasks must be; Master the fundamentals, and you will master the battlefield.
By praying daily systematic and sacrificial prayers, you will develop the ability to rely ever more on God.
Some war prayers require a first-person “I” format to help you articulate your personal pleas before the Lord. Others are presented in a collective “we” format to remind you that you have fellow warriors around the world praying the same daily prayers as you, believing that God will bring about mighty cultural change through the unified prayers of His men and women of prayer.
As you pray, have the expectation in your heart that the King of Glory will hear you pleading to enter the fight with you.
Be warned, though. If you pray like a warrior, the enemy will no longer ignore you.
You will draw his fire.
Do you trust the Lord God to lead you through the inferno?
Then pray like a man or woman of war that you are.
Pray
Offensive-minded prayer.
Assaulting prayer.
Stronghold-destroying prayer. Meekness-enhancing prayer.
Advancing-the-Glorious-Kingdom prayer.
NOW LET US PRAY.
Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.-Psalm 24 : 7
MIGHTY GOD, We stand before the gates of these present times and year and demand that they be lifted for you.
We proclaim to the ancient doors that they must open before you.
You are the LORD, mighty in war. You are the LORD, the King of battle. You conquer every city you come against.
No enemy stronghold can withstand your assaults.
No traitor can escape from your plans.
You are the LORD, and there is no other.
O Lord, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me. But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. O Israel, hope in the Lord from this time forth and forevermore.-Psalm 131 : 1 – 3
CHRIST JESUS MY LORD, How deeply I want to feel this passage.
I want to feel it within my very bones.
To sleep at night with satisfaction and peace.
What does it profit me to be anxious? Why
do I strive against what I can not control?
I want you to give me the mark of perfect faith: a calm, quiet soul.
I want a soul that basks in your presence like a warm campfire on a cold night.
I want a soul that is in submission to your authority.
No matter what I face today, you are sovereign over it. I demand of my soul that it be quiet before you and full of hope.
Father, thank You for all that You are and for fighting our battles with us.
Thank You that we are fighting from a position of victory against our enemies because of the work of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary.
Lord, we glorify Your Holy name for teaching our hands to war. In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
Have a blessed day
