As children of the Most High God, victory is part of who we are. “Victory Is Our Portion!”
If you’ve been in a place of battle recently, then 2 Chronicles 20:15, 17 are verses that’s going to light a fire in your spirit today.
“Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you. ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”
Being children of God, victory is not just something we hope for, it’s a part of our spiritual DNA! It’s as integral to us as the very air we breathe. The devil may be crafty, but even he can’t deny this divine truth. But oh, how he tries with his lies.
One of his tricks is exploiting our lack of knowledge of God’s Word.
When we forget that the battle is already won, that the victory is already ours, we walk in fear. It’s in those moments of uncertainty and doubt, that the devil thinks he can take advantage of us.
1 Peter 5:8 warns us, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” ️
We are called to live our lives in victory because the battle is not ours— it’s God’s. It’s a heavenly paradox: even in warfare, we’re not coming from a place of fear or defeat, but from a standpoint of VICTORY. We’re not just putting the devil in his place—we’re stomping him under our feet where he belongs!
Remember what Colossians 2:15 tells us. “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”
Oh, what a powerful imagery! Christ disarming our foes, making a spectacle of them, triumphing over them for all to see!
Today, I want to challenge you. Are you ready to face your battles from a place of victory? You might feel weary, like you’re almost begging your problems to go away. But remember, you are a child of the Most High God. You have already overcome these challenges, even before they began. Victory isn’t just coming – it’s your portion.
So, stand firm in this truth, and live the victorious life that God has destined for you.
LET US PRAY:
Mighty and Triumphant Lord, Your Word attests to Your unending victories. You are the One who conquered death, brought forth life from nothingness, and made a way where there seemed to be no way. I stand in awe of Your victorious nature, and I am humbled to be Your child, sharing in the inheritance of Your triumph.
In every situation, I am reminded of Your glorious victories. When the world presents trials and tribulations, Your Word shines a beacon of hope, reminding me that victory is my portion.
Lord, I hold steadfast to this assurance, rooted in the conviction of Your omnipotence, Your sovereignty, and Your unending love for me. Thank You Lord! In Jesus Mighty Name I pray. Amen
