True Knowledge Of Jesus Christ 4 – By Iwalola(Lola) Ademodi

~ JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR…RIGHTEOUSNESS @everyone

💥We are all sinners and naturally unrighteous in our flesh. Sin separate us from our creator, God.

💥We need to be righteous in order to have a relationship with God

💥In fact Righteousness means to be in right standing with God.

✝️Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭20‬ ‭AMP‬‬ tells us

“For I say to you that unless your righteousness (uprightness, moral essence) is more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

💥The Bible says that Jesus Christ is our righteousness because he took on our sins and became sin for us. This allows us to be seen as righteous before God.

💥We need the righteousness of Christ imputed to us because we cannot make ourselves righteous—we cannot place ourselves in right standing with God. We need Christ’s righteousness imputed to us—meaning, we need His holiness before God credited to our account.

💥The process of giving Christ’s righteousness to sinners is called imputation

✝️1 Corinthians 1:30 States that “But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God [revealing His plan of salvation], and righteousness [making us acceptable to God], and sanctification [making us holy and setting us apart for God], and redemption [providing our ransom from the penalty for sin],”

✝️Jeremiah 23:5-6: Calls Jesus Christ “The Lord Our Righteousness”

✝️2 Corinthians 5:21 AMP States that “He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].”

✝️Romans 3:22: States that God’s righteousness is given to all who believe through faith in Jesus Christ

💥Jesus makes our need for imputed righteousness plain.

✝️He says, “You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect” (Matthew 5:48).

💥This comes after Jesus had just corrected His listeners’ misunderstanding of the law.

In Matthew 5:20, Jesus says that:

✝️“For I say to you that unless your righteousness (uprightness, moral essence) is more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

GOD MADE JESUS OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS!

NOW LET US PRAY

🔥Father God, thank You for loving us enough to impute the righteousness of Jesus Christ on us.

🔥Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I am in awe of Your righteousness and for meeting our need for righteousness with Yours.

🔥Holy Spirit, I ask that You empower us to keep from sinning against You.

In Jesus Christ’s most precious name I pray. Amen 🙏🏾
