Yes! You read that right.
Here are some truths from the Word of God to confirm this declaration.
* Proverbs 24:16 tells us that a righteous man falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in time of disaster and collapse.
* Job 5:19 AMP says He (God) will rescue you from six troubles; even in seven, evil will not touch you.
* Psalms 34:19 tells us that many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the Lord rescues him from them ALL.
* Psalms 37:23-25 tells us that the steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord, And He delights in his way [and blesses his path]. When he falls, he will not be hurled down because the Lord is the One who holds his hand and sustains him. I have been young, and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous (those in right standing with God) abandoned or his descendants pleading for bread.
* Micah 7:8 tells us: Do not rejoice over me [amid my tragedies], O my enemy! Though I fall, I will rise; Though I sit in the darkness [of distress], the Lord is a light for me.
The occasional disappointments and failures of life are inevitable.
Such setbacks are simply the price that we must occasionally pay for our willingness to take risks as we follow our dreams. But even when we encounter bitter disappointments, we must never lose faith.
When we encounter difficult circumstances or life-altering obstacles, God stands ready to protect us. Our responsibility, of course, is to ask Him for protection. When we call upon Him in heartfelt prayer, He will answer—in His own time and according to His own plan—and He will heal our hearts. And while we are waiting for God’s plans to unfold—and while we’re waiting for His healing touch to restore us—we can be comforted in the knowledge that our Creator can overcome any obstacle, even if we cannot.
The enemy of our souls loves to taunt us with past failures, wrongs, disappointments, disasters, and calamities.
And if we let him continue doing this, our life becomes a long and dark tunnel, with very little light at the end. We must not believe his lies.
LET US PRAY
Dear Lord,
Thank You for covering us with the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Help us to trust You when we fall, knowing that You promised to be with us, by our side when we are down. You will turn our failure to Your glory. We really have nothing to fear. So we will live courageously, Father, as we place our faith in You. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen
