The “fear of the Lord” in Scripture often refers to a reverence, awe, and respect for God, not a fear of punishment. It’s described as the foundation of wisdom, leading to obedience and a life pleasing to God
The questions we should ask ourselves is;
Do you have a healthy, fearful respect for God’s power? Hopefully so.
Is faithfulness to the Lord your highest priority?
Have you given His Son your heart, your soul, your talents, and your time?
The answer to these questions will determine how we prioritize our days and organize our lives.
I suggest that as you start your day and as you consider the opportunities that will inevitably present themselves in the future, remember this:
Until you acquire a healthy fear of God’s power, your education is incomplete, and so, for that matter, is your faith.
After all, God’s Word teaches us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.
Proverbs 1:7 AMP declares;
”The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; But arrogant fools despise [skillful and godly] wisdom and instruction and self-discipline.”
Also, Psalms 111:10 AMP confirmed
”The [reverent] fear of the Lord is the beginning (the prerequisite, the absolute essential, the alphabet) of wisdom; A good understanding and a teachable heart are possessed by all those who do the will of the Lord; His praise endures forever.”
When you fear the Creator-and when you honor Him by obeying His commandments – you will receive God’s approval and His blessings.
One of my favorite Christian writers, Beth Moore wrote:
“If a person fears God, he or she has no reason to fear anything else. On the other hand, if a person does not fear God, then fear becomes a way of life.”

NOW LET US PRAY
Holy God, I am in awe of You and Your power and might.
Lord, I pray that our greatest fear will continue to be the fear of displeasing You.
Help us to strive, Father, to obey Your commandments and seek Your will every day of our lives .
Abide with us today, Holy Spirit and order our steps in Your Word.
In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen
Have a blessed day
