Our scripture text from Psalm 23:4 tells us ”Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me.“
What a VERY comforting thought! The psalmist is expressing the truth that our loving God assures us that when we go through the “valleys” of life, even unto death, we are to fear no evil. Why? Because God Himself is with us; with His rod to protect us and His staff to guide us. They comfort and console us. To which I say Hallelujah to His holy name.
PRAY ALONG:
Loving Father in heaven, I come to You to give You praise and adoration for Your promise with me, even in the valleys of life.
Lord Jesus, in times when I feel isolated, overshadowed by the weight of aloneness, remind me of Your steadfast presence. When the world seems cold, distant, or indifferent, wrap me in the warmth of Your unending love. Your Word assures me that even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, You are there beside me, guiding and comforting.
Lord, let me not be swayed by fleeting emotions or the enemy’s deceit. Instead, let my heart be anchored in Your promises.
Teach me, Lord, to rely not on my feelings but on Your unwavering truth. Regardless of my circumstances or how I perceive them, I am never alone because You are ALWAYS with me every step of the way. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
