The news cycle, in the past couple of days, was flooded with the “SOLAR ECLIPSE EVENT” all over the world. Thousands, if not millions of people, wore special 3D glasses just to get a glimpse of the phenomenon. The internet is flooded with pictures.
The scripture that kept flooding my mind was Psalm 8. I couldn’t help but marvel at the majesty of God’s creation.
Therefore, please join me in honoring our one and ONLY Jehovah God with the Words of King David in Psalm 8
- Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory in the heavens.
- Through the praise of children and infants, You have established a stronghold against Your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
- When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon, and the stars, which You have set in place,
- What is mankind that You are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them?
- You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.
- You made them rulers over the works of Your hands; You put everything under their feet:
- all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild,
- the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.
- Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!
LET US GLORIFY HIM:
Most Holy God, the crown of glory and honor that You have placed upon our heads, Lord, often feels much too big. Like children playing dress-up, we try to keep it on straight, but it keeps falling over our eyes. In our attempts to keep it in place, we realize one important thing: the One who put it there is the only One who can keep it there. And like a gentle father, You, the God of the universe, keep pushing it back in place so we can exercise our God-given authority over creation. The wonder of Your plan calls me to silence. The majesty of Your name calls me to kneel. And Your awesome glory—the matchless glory of God—calls me to joyful worship. Therefore, I worship Your Lord! Your name is magnificent in all the earth. In Jesus’ majestic name, I pray. Amen 🙏🏾
