Strenght To Rely On In Hard Times – By Iwalola(Lola) Ademodi Oshinowo

💥There are days that seem like they are almost too much to handle. Where do we turn during hard times when we need strength?

💥We can focus on God and His scripture for strength and encouragement.

💥I don’t know about you, but I honestly say that I don’t know how people find the strength to carry on through some of life’s most difficult trials if they don’t rely on God and His strength.

💥God gave us the His word filled with Bible Verses and quotes that we can rely on to help us make it through hard times.

Still, there are days that just seem almost too much to handle. What do we do then?

💥Personally, when I experience hard times, I run to the bosom of the Lord in prayer and I focus on God and the promises He has given in scripture because He has said that His word will not return void without accomplishing what it set out to do!

✝️Isaiah 55:11 tells us that “So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me void (useless, without result), Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.”

💥On those days when I feel particularly weak, I cling to His word that promises He will be my strength and help me through:

✝️”He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” (Isaiah 40:29)

✝️” When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior” (Isaiah 43:2-3).

✝️” Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

✝️” Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).

✝️” The LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him” (Exodus 15:2).

✝️” I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

✝️” The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)

✝️” The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving” (Psalm 28:7).

✝️” I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

✝️” So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:16-18).

💥Where do you find yourself today? Are you just barely hanging on, wondering how you’ll make it? Turn to God and rely on His scriptures for strength to make it through the day. He is faithful when you need strength!
