Starting The Year With Confidence Before God – By Iwalola(Lola) Ademodi

🌺Beloved, as we start a new year, one of the best things we need to do for our spiritual growth is to spend quality time alone in God’s presence.

🌺However, sometimes the enemy of our souls would discourage us from approaching God by using our sin and guilt to accuse us and thereby prevent us from approaching God.

🌺Apostle Paul encouraged believers in

πŸ“’Hebrews 4:16 AMP,

β•οΈβ€œTherefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].”

🌺As sons and daughters of the Living God, we can always have an audience with our good Father.

🌺There is never a moment where we need to shrink back or distance ourselves from him.

🌺In every season, in every circumstance, he is our ready help and deliverer.

🌺Even when we make a mess of our lives, he is ready to help us reconcile and rebuild.

🌺There is endless mercy in God’s presence.

🌺Why, then, would we stay away? We need not punish ourselves.

🌺If God is willing to throw our offenses into the sea of forgetfulness when we come to him, why would we try to dig them up ourselves?

🌺Let us come to him with fresh confidence today, looking to Jesus. There is mercy and grace to meet us.
