During Spring season of every year, most people take an audit of the contents of their homes to eliminate whatever is not needed. In other words Spring Cleaning.
Spring cleaning is the time to evaluate the items that we’ve collected over the years and identify items that no longer serve any purpose in our homes so we can eliminate them appropriately either through donation or thrown out.
As we spring clean. We should include our minds. We are to renew our minds with the Word of God. (Romans 12:2)
Our minds are battle grounds between godly thoughts and ungodly thoughts from the enemy of our souls. This is why we pay attention to God’s Words in Romans 12:2, which tells us;
”And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].“
We renew (spring clean) our minds by replacing ungodly thoughts and values with godly ones from the Word of God.
LET US PRAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for making a way for us to renew our minds. We need the Holy Spirit to empower us with the knowledge of Your Word, so that we can renew our minds according to Your will for spiritual maturity.
Abide with us today and all week as we explore Spring Cleaning our minds. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen 🙏🏾
Have a blessed day ❤️
