The world we live in is restless, life for most people, including believers in Christ could be quite restless.
There are bills to pay,
Trying to make ends meet in a tough economy
Broken relationships
Losses in businesses and jobs or loved ones.
Illnesses and afflictions
And the list goes on.
God gave us solutions to restlessness In His Word, but are we listening?
One of such solutions could be found in His message to the Israelites (and believers in Christ) in…
Isaiah 30:15 NLT, which says “This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it.”
God is saying, rest is found when we return to Him, resting in Him and be saved. In quietness and confidence in strength found in Him.

Matthew 11:28-30 AMP, Jesus said “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. [Jer 6:16] For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.”
Here, Jesus invites us to give Him our burdens (aka restlessness) in exchange for His REST. He wants us to take His yoke upon us, His gentle and humble heart and we will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for our souls.
The question is, are we ready to take up His offer? Which was why the Isaiah said, “But you would have none of it.”
God has a solution for our restlessness, but we have to accept His offer.
LET US PRAY
Loving God, thank You for loving us enough to exchange our restlessness and burdens for Your REST. Lord, give us the grace to trust You and surrender all our burdens to You.
I pray that You would give your rest to all burdened souls among us. Abide with us today and protect us and our loved ones from the wickedness of the wicked. In Your Holy name, I pray. Amen
