Beloved, today’s devotional is to encourage those among us who are struggling or experiencing challenges this week when everyone else is celebrating thanksgiving.
I would like to encourage those among us who are struggling at this time to know that based on personal experience, praising God for my “bad” day always brings me to a place of perspectives of counting my blessings.
Praising God is also good for our souls but it is also something we should do because God deserves all our praises.
There are times we feel overjoyed and want to praise God. Then there are days that are hard, but as believers we still want to praise God.
I hope and pray that these prayers helped get you started praising God.
Another great way that I found to praise God is to read through the Psalms and get closer to God.
I want to encourage you to keep praising God in new ways for He is worthy of all our praise.
It is always good to praise God for what He is doing in your life.

Most Gracious God, Lord, thank You for yet another day of life.
Father, we give You all the glory and adoration.
Gracious Father, the days have been hard but You still deserve all my praise.
Lord, somehow I have struggled with the thoughts in my head, the words and actions of others, and just living in a sin sick world, along with attacks from the enemies of my soul all seemed hard.
Father, when I am struggling to find the joy in my life help me to look to You. Help me to focus on the things You have done for me and praise You for those things.
The thing that first comes to mind is that You have already saved me from my biggest problem in life, sin.
God, You created a way for me to be in right relationship with You through the death of Jesus on the Cross.
This is such a wonderful gift I do not deserve. God, I praise You for Your mercy to me in my life.
God, also I think of the promises You have given me in Your Word. You have promised to take care of me, to never leave me, and to do what is good for me.
These promises don’t always seem to be real on my hard days but I know You are faithful God and You will make all Your promises come to pass in my life.
Lord, give me patience while I wait and help me to praise You in my waiting.
Jesus , I think of the beautiful and glorious day when I will see You face-to-face.
You have promised me an eternity with You , not because of anything I have done but because of Jesus Christ’s atoning death on the cross.
Thank You , Lord Jesus that through faith by grace, I have been saved from my sin and have the promise of eternity with You.
Even when I’m not having a great day I still praise You for the day You have blessed me with.
Lord, I praise You for the hard days because of who You are but also because the hard days help me to grow closer to You.
James 1:2-4 ESV encourages us…
”Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”
God, I thank You for the things You have done for me and my family and the things You will yet to do.
Lord, abide with us at all times as we continue to praise You.
