Beloved, we worship God because He is our Creator, Lord, and the source of our salvation, deserving of our adoration and praise.
Worship is our response to God’s nature, His works, and His commands. It’s a way to express love, gratitude, and submission to Him.
Beloved, truly, we serve a great and mighty God. He is our Creator, our Savior, our Redeemer, and so much more.
Our first and greatest purpose in life is to worship Him for all He has done and for who He is.
We worship Him because no one else is worthy of our praise. And nothing else fulfills the longings of our hearts quite like worship.
The Bible, Godβs perfect and infallible Word, is full of scriptures that point us to the greatness of our God. Every time we read His life giving words, we are changed.
We are compelled toward a natural response of worship.
Here are some powerful scriptures that can truly set your heart toward worshiping Him.

Jeremiah 10:7 tells usβ¦
βWho would not fear you, O King of the nations? For this is your due; for among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is none like you.β
In all of human history, out of all the great kings and nations, there has never been anyone like our God
No one else can create galaxies with a single word.
No one else would send His Son to die for our salvation.
No one else sends His Holy Spirit to sanctify us each and every day.

1 Corinthians 2:9 tells usβ¦
βBut, as it is written, βWhat no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.β
We do not worship an impersonal God; our God loves us with an intimate and passionate love.
Right now, He is preparing a place for us: a place of eternal joy beyond compare, so that we can be with Him and enjoy His presence forever.

Psalm 95:3-4 tells usβ¦
βFor the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also.β
The book of Psalms contains a multitude of verses of praise and worship.
In this one, King David reminds us that the God who formed the mountains and the valleys is the same God who gave to us the breath of life.
He is in control of everything that happens on earth, and He cares for each of us, as well.

1 John 3:1 tells usβ¦
βSee what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we areβ¦β
This is a radically powerful statement.
We, imperfect and sinful people, can be adopted into the family of God. Not because of anything weβve done, but simply because of His great love for us demonstrated by Christβs work on the cross.
We are no longer strangers, alienated from God. We are His children, whom He loves.

Hebrews 12:28 tells usβ¦
βTherefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe.β
When we receive Christ, we become part of the most powerful Kingdom in existence: the Kingdom of God.
Nothing we acquire here on earth β not money, not fame, not social status β will last.
But the glory of God goes on forever, and we get to share in that.

Revelation 4:11 tells usβ¦
βWorthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.β
Just think about it. God created the heavens and the earth simply by willing and speaking them into existence.
He set all the planets into orbit, and every single part of nature is designed perfectly to sustain life.
He did this all for us, knowing that we would see His glory in creation and worship Him.

Psalm 27:4 tells usβ¦
βOne thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.β
If you could ask for one thing, what would it be?
For David, the most precious gift of all would be to simply sit in Godβs presence.
God is so beautiful, so mysterious, so high above this mortal world, that just gazing upon His face and learning His ways can quench the deep thirst of our souls.

John 3:16 tells usβ¦
βFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.β
This verse is so widely used and memorized, and for good reason.
John 3:16 is a summary of the gospel, the most powerful thing on earth.
We do not deserve to come before God in worship.
Our sin separates us from God; but the death and resurrection of Christ has made a way for us. What a priceless gift of love!

Psalm 139:14 tells usβ¦
βI praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.β
Have you ever thanked God just for creating you?
We should always give God glory for creating us so intricately and uniquely.
He is the most creative, most intelligent being on earth. He took care in making each and every one of us.

James 1:17 tells usβ¦
βEvery good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.β
Every good thing we experience in this life is because of the grace of God.
The beauty of nature, the laughter we share with our loved ones, the taste of a good meal β all of these are given to us by God in love.
Whatβs more, God never changes. He is the same forever.
He will never spontaneously decide to stop loving us in this way.

Lamentations 3:22-23 tells usβ¦
βThe steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.β
Isnβt it so satisfying to know that Godβs love and mercy will never run out on us?
Every day, He shows it to us in new ways. He has always cared for us, and He will continue to do so until the end of the age.
Human beings change their minds, their attitudes, and their actions all the time. But not God β He is everlasting, and He always keeps His promises.

Isaiah 53:5 tells usβ¦
βBut he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.β
When we think about the suffering of Jesus on the cross, we should always be driven to worship.
Jesus left the glory of heaven to become like one of us.
He was humiliated, disgraced, and mocked for our deliverance.
He was beaten beyond recognition and then crucified for a crime He did not commit.
He took the punishment that we deserve, so that we could have the glory He deserves.
Who else would do that for us? ONLY a loving God.

Most sovereign God, thank You for ALL that You are.
Father, we worship You for Your mercy and grace.
Jesus, we honor and praise You, for Your sacrifice in Your deliverance of humanity.
We bless Your Holy name for giving us Your spirit to help and guide us.
We bow down in worship of You triune God.
In Jesusβ most precious name, I pray. Amen
Have a blessed day
