PRAYER is the second characteristic of our devotional on Portrait of a strong person.
A strong person is in constant communication with Jehovah God through prayer. Spending time alone in prayer is a priority. Prayer is our connecting point with God and an essential means of strengthening your relationship with Him.
Through the discipline of prayer, we learn how to communicate with the Lord about anything and everything. It is safe to say that
A PRAYERLESS LIFE IS A POWERLESS ONE.
When His disciples needed the strength to stand firm, Jesus told them in Matthew 26:41, 42,44 to “Keep actively watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.” He went away a second time and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cannot pass away unless I drink it, Your will be done.” So, leaving them again, He went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same words once more.”
If Jesus, who was God in flesh during His earthly ministry depended on prayers for strength, how much more do we, who are mere mortals are in need of constant prayers.
LET US PRAY
Great and Mighty God, thank You for the gift of prayer. Lord, I pray that the Holy Spirit would spur us into constant communication with You in prayer so that we would obtain supernatural strength, Your strength when we are weak during our journey in life. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen
Have a blessed day and weekend
