Beloved, we read in Psalm 139, how David testifies the power of God, that God can do all things especially for His children.
IN ALL THAT WE DO – In verses 1 and 3 we are told of The ALL-KNOWING God who SEES what we do every SECOND.
“O Lord, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And You are intimately acquainted with all my ways.” Psalms 139:1, 3 AMP
IN WHAT WE THINK – Verse 2 tells us that nothing is HIDDEN from a HOLY GOD
“You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do]; You understand and perceive my thought from afar.” Psalms 139:2 AMP
IN WHAT WE SAY – verses 4-6 tells us that He HEARS even the whisper of our HEARTS.
“Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord. You hem me in—behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.” Psalm 139: 4-6.
HE IS IN HEAVEN – verses 7-8a tells us that we have ALL-PRESENT God (we can’t HIDE from Him even if He is in HEAVEN)
“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens you are there.” Psalm 139: 7-8a.
He is in HELL – verse 8 indicate that even in SHEOL, the SOVEREIGN God is there.
“If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead), behold, You are there. Psalms 139:8 AMP
He is in HERE and there – verses 9-12 tells us that God is PRESENT in all PLACES.
“If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.” Psalm 139: 9-12
He is The ALL-POWERFUL God – verse 13 tells us that He CREATED everything we have, even from when we are CONCEIVED.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13
All The PRAISES belong to God – verse 14, highlights the PRAISES to God’s creative POWER
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14
We don’t know what the future holds for us. But we can trust our Omniscient , Omnipresent and Omnipotent God who is already in the future and who holds our future. Because of these truths we can have PEACE in Him!
NOW LET US PRAY
Holy God, thank You for being our Omniscient , Omnipresent and Omnipotent God. Thank You for the PEACE we have in knowing You.
Heavenly Father, As we prepare to start a new day, we enter into Your presence with a thankful heart. We ask this morning, that You would be with us throughout the day, and keep us on the path that You would have us walk. You said eye has not seen, nor ear heard, and no one has conceived the good things You have prepared for us, and for that, we have an exceedingly great hope. I am asking that You would meet the needs of all Your people today, be it financial, physical or spiritual. Take the difficult situations that many among us are facing, and give us the answers we seek. Give us the strength to overcome any obstacle we may face, for it is You from whom we draw our strength. Help us to remember that each new day You give us is a gift, as the Holy Spirit continues to lead our way. In Jesus name we pray, Amen
