Our thoughts have power because it controls everything about us.
Proverbs 23:7 tells us…
“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he [in behavior—…]”
God knows how much our thoughts have a bearing on the trajectory of our lives. Because He loves us, He gave us biblical guidelines on how and what we should think about or allow to settle in our minds.
It may not seem like it, but when it comes to the thoughts we think—we have a choice. Thoughts can come into your mind from all sides. The enemy of our souls win his ugly battle against us by introducing negative thoughts into our minds. but we can choose what will stay in our minds and what you will cast out. This is why the Word of God admonished us to capture our thoughts for Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5 AMP “We are destroying sophisticated arguments [thoughts]and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ,”
Thoughts in line with the Word of God will protect us —spirit, soul and body. Negative thoughts will cost us dearly in the same areas. The Bible is very clear about things that we should allow to settle in our minds. We are told in…
Philippians 4:8 AMP about what we should allow to settle in our minds. Finally, believers,
whatever is true,
whatever is honorable and worthy of respect,
whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word,
whatever is pure and wholesome,
whatever is lovely and brings peace,
whatever is admirable and of good repute;
if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].
We are to periodically do housecleaning of our minds and thought processes. The Bible admonished us to renew our minds .
“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. ~ Romans 12:2 AMP

LET US PRAY
Father in heaven, thank You for giving us yet another day in life. Lord we glorify You for the guideline for what we should allow to settle on our minds. I pray that You give us the grace that enables us to capture our every thoughts for Christ. Help us to grow in the knowledge of You so that we can attain the mind of Christ. Abide with us and protect us from any attacks of the enemy on our minds. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen
Have a blessed day
