The psalmist in Psalmsโฌ โญ119โฌ:โญ33โฌ-โญ36โฌ โญAMPโฌโฌ cried out to the Lord
โTeach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, And I will [steadfastly] observe it to the end.
Give me understanding [a teachable heart and the ability to learn], that I may keep Your law; And observe it with all my heart.
Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it.
Incline my heart to Your testimonies And not to dishonest gain and envy.โ
Proverbsโฌ โญ2โฌ:โญ6โฌ โญAMPโฌโฌ tells us;
โFor the Lord gives [skillful and godly] wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.โ

I love you Lord. Thank you for this new day.
Thank you for revealing yourself to me so I might come to know you.
Thank you for saving me.
I pray you will work in my heart so I might love your ways.
I pray my heart will only desire to do your will and that nothing I do might be done for selfish gain.
I pray you will forgive me the times I have spoken without thought.
I commit this day into your hands. Do with me as you will.
Let my speech be seasoned with your grace, and let my heart be full of your love for those around me.
Father, forgive me for the times when I have ignored you and gone my own way.
This is not what I want, and not how I wish to live.
I desire above all things that my eyes would be firmly fixed on you.
I pray you will continue to turn my heart towards you.
I pray that you will cause my heart to crave your presence.
I want more of you in my life.
Lord, Direct me in your paths, for I know that the times I have been obedient to you have been the times where I have found most delight in you.
O God, turn my eyes away from worthless things.
Preserve my life according to your word.
Change my heart O Lord. If I am blind, give me sight. If I am deaf, give me hearing.
I want to see and hear you. I pray I will love your Word more and more each day.
Please give me understanding in both my mind and in my heart.
Draw me to you. Increase my faith so I might believe.
Father, I commit this day into your hands. Do with me as you will.
