🌺The Bible tells us Jesus profoundly understands his followers, particularly our weaknesses and struggles, because he experienced human life and temptation himself without sin.

🌺This understanding is emphasized in the scriptures we would explore today.

𝐉𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐒 πˆπ’ πŽππ„ π–π‡πŽ 𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒 πŽπ”π‘ 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐒

πŸ“’Hebrews 4:15 AMP tells us…

β­•οΈβ€œFor we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin.”

𝐉𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐒 πˆπ’ πŽπ”π‘ π†πŽπŽπƒ 𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐏𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐃

🌺Jesus describes himself as the good shepherd who knows his sheep and lays down his life for them, illustrating that He desires close and intimate relationship with us.

β­•οΈβ€œI am the Good Shepherd, and I know [without any doubt those who are] My own and My own know Me [and have a deep, personal relationship with Me]β€” even as the Father knows Me and I know the Fatherβ€”and I lay down My [very own] life [sacrificing it] for the benefit of the sheep.”

πŸ“’β€œso that He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: β€œHe Himself took our infirmities [upon Himself] and carried away our diseases.” [Is 53:4]”

Thank You, Lord for being our good shepherd.

πŸ”₯Holy Spirit, I pray that You empower us to live our lives to be worthy of the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
