The Bible is very clear in identifying our real enemy, Satan, who constantly accuse us in the courts of heaven because of our sins. Revelation 12:10-12 says: ….. for the accuser of our brethren (Satan), who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
When an individual decides to walk with God in righteousness and. uprightness of heart, God Himself becomes his or her defense. He has promised in His word that if we would obey His voice indeed, He will be an enemy to our enemies and an adversary to our adversaries (Exodus 23:22).
Because of God’s grace, he has given all those who trust in Christ a righteousness that is not of our own. Because of the great exchange in the cross we stand in the righteousness of the perfect Son of God, Jesus Christ. Because of God’s saving grace, we are able to live in a righteousness that can only come from him. In faithful obedience to Christ, he works his righteousness out in our lives and grows us more into his image day by day. Without Christ we are defenseless without any righteousness of our own. However, because of Jesus Christ, we are protected and defended from the onslaught of Satan’s accusations and attacks.
LET US PRAY
The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him. my father’s God, and I will exalt him. Exodus 15:2 NIV
Lord , my Defender, I praise you! I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am carefully kept in the refuge of your loving kindness. You are my salvation, and you are my hope in every season of the soul. I know that you will continue to come through for me. As long as I breathe, you are not finished with me. You are still sowing seeds of mercy into the soil of my life. You are still working all things together for my good and for your glory. I trust you, Lord.
The Lord is my defense. He is my strength. Jesus is my salvation. He is my God, and / will not hold back my praise from him today, / lavish my worship on him, and 1 trust him wholeheartedly with every part of my life.
