Everyone at a time or another need inner strength that only the Holy Spirit can give us.
Events and circumstances happen to us or around us that require inner strength to get us through.
Times of doubt, discouragement, fear, tragedy. loss and anxiety are all a part of our lives throughout our journey. Because we are called to glorify God in our bodies and in our spirits
God in His mercy and grace through Jesus Christ made provision to meet us at the point of our needs for inner strength.
Ephesians 3:14-19 NIV tells us where inner strength comes from:
”For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
Here are some observations about Paul’s very specific prayer for inner strength by the Holy Spirit.
It was a worthy cause for an apostle’s prayer (v14). As Paul observed the world in that day and the believers in it, he was led to pray for their inner man.
Our heavenly Father considers us family and knows the ongoing intimate needs of the inner man.
Inner strength is available. The word “that” in verse 16 indicates that the purpose of this prayer can be accomplished.
Inner strength begins in the character of God; it is according to the riches of his glory (v16). I love that! It lets us know that God will never run out of strength to give us!
It is by His Spirit in the inner man—it’s a mystery—invisible, yet real (16). (Read II Corinthians 4:16-18; Colossians 1:27)
It is enjoyed by intentional faith in Christ (v17). The just must live by faith. In hard times of inner weakness, we must quench fiery darts of the mind and soul by lifting the shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16).

NOW LET US PRAY
Heavenly Father, I pray that from Your glorious, unlimited resources You will empower us with inner strength through Your Spirit.
We want Christ to be comfortably at home in our hearts as we trust in Him.
I pray that strong roots growing down deep into Your incredible love for us.
We cannot ever fully understand it here on earth, but every day we want to understand more and more of how wide, long, high, and deep Your love is.
What an unfathomable honor and blessing it is to be Your children.
Abide with us at all times, Lord.
