The Bible consistently portrays pride as a dangerous vice and humility as a virtue.
It emphasizes that God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble.
Humility, rooted in the fear of God, is linked to wisdom, honor, and even wealth, while pride is associated with disgrace, downfall, and dishonor.
As believers, Jesus Christ is the example of humility that we should follow.
Satan on the other hand is the antithesis of humility. He was so full of pride that he wanted to be God. This was why he was kicked out of heaven.

โBut He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation].
Therefore, it says, โGod is opposed to the proud and haughty, but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble [who turn away from self-righteousness].โ

โThough He (God) scoffs at the scoffers and scorns the scorners, Yet He gives His grace [His undeserved favor] to the humble [those who give up self-importance].โ

Merciful God, we come to thank You for another blessed day in Your presence. Glory to Your Holy name.
Lord, we pray that You would deliver each one of us from the spirit of pride, that destroys Your purpose for our existence.
Father, help us to submit our all to You in reverence and adoration.
Holy Spirit we pray that You destroy every once of pride from our hearts, so that we can be useful to your kingdom.
Help us to relate to one another in humility. So that Your work will be lifted up in our lives.
