~ A BIBLICAL VIEW OF THE FUTURE
Beloved, as we proceed to the end of the year, it is appropriate to look ahead.
However, looking ahead is easier said than done. Therefore, we would explore how God wants us to look ahead from a biblical point of view and also in a healthy way, without worries or anxiety.
1. LET GO OF THE PAST.
Letting go of the past is a balancing act of prayerfully forgetting what is behind in order to look forward to what God has called us to.
Philippians 3:13-14 says “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, [14] I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus”.
To forget what is behind requires…
Put past failures behind, look to Christ, and move forward.*
Ephesians 4:31 commands us to “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice”
Throw behind us the things that hinder the growth of the Christian life.
1 Peter 2:1 tells us “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.”
Let go of your unfaithfulness and choose to be faithful to others.
Let go of your fear.
Let go of your doubts.
In John 15:4, Jesus said “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me”
Hold on to Jesus alone.
Psalms 119:105 says “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path”
Hold on to the Word of God.!!!
Galatians 5:16, 22-23 declares
“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
Hold on to the Holy Spirit.
2. DON’T LOSE YOUR HEART!!!
If you have experienced difficulties in the past, don’t lose heart.
Psalms 27:14 reminds us to “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord”
Philippians 4:13 encourage that “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
Psalms 37:4 ) -* Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Trust in God’s faithfulness
Psalms 42:5 encourages “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
Romans 10:11 tells us “As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” Amen
3. WAIT WITH FAITH, HOPE AND RENEWAL!!!
Psalms 130:5 says “I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.”
Hebrews 6:12 encourages that “We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised”
We must be careful to inherit God’s promise to us
James 5:7-8 ) encourage “Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near”
Our blessings are coming.
Romans 12:2 ) advises “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will”
We must learn to renew our minds.
I pray that the life hereafter be renewed for each of us.

NOW LET US PRAY
Holy God, thank You for all to look ahead and trust our future into Your capable hands.
I pray that each one us would embark on this new journey with faith, hope, and renewal, holding on to Jesus alone, and may His love, peace, and joy guide you every step of the way.”*
I pray that all the sins and evils that grieve the soul of God are removed from us in this coming year and beyond.
Lord, our hopes of our future is in You and You alone.
Father, we gorify You for the coming year and we trust our future to You.
Have a blessed day
