The Word of God gave us a promise in Isaiah 1:19 that tells us “If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land;”
What exactly is the “good of the land”?
We find the answer to this question in Deuteronomy 8:7-10
“For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; A LAND WHERE BREAD WILL NOT BE SCARCE and YOU WILL LACK NOTHING; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills. When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.”
I want to highlight the characteristics of the good of the land.
Land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills;
Land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil, and honey;
LAND WHERE BREAD WILL NOT BE SCARCE, and YOU WILL LACK NOTHING;
Land where the rocks are iron, and you can dig copper out of the hills.
Eating these good of the land is conditional. The Bible says “If you are willing and obedient, then you will eat the good of the land”
In conclusion, if we willingly obey the precepts of God, bread will not be scarce for us, and we will lack nothing. GOD WILL BE OUR SOURCE AND PROVIDER.

LET US PRAY
Loving God, thank You for the promise of the good of the land. Lord, give us the grace to be willing to obey you. Keep us humble as we lean on You to meet our needs to the point that we lack nothing. Along with the good of the land, Father, bless us with divine healing. Heal those among us who are ill and in pain. Protect us and our family from the wickedness of the wicked. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen
Have a blessed day and weekend
