By now, we are certain about God’s desire to guide us, His creations, based on our previous devotional which revealed this truths in His Word.
The question now is how does God guide us?
A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
For God to guide us, we must have a relationship with Him through our Faith in Jesus Christ. We must accept Him as our Lord and Savior.
To receive divine guidance from God, we must acknowledge that His is our savior and only guide to eternal glory
Jesus said in John 10:3-7 AMP
”The doorkeeper opens [the gate] for this man, and the sheep hear his voice and pay attention to it.
And [knowing that they listen] he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out [to pasture].
When he has brought all his own sheep outside, he walks on ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice and recognize his call.
They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.”
Jesus used this figure of speech with them, but they did not understand what He was talking about.
So Jesus said again, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, I am the Door for the sheep [leading to life].”
In His figure of speech, Jesus is the Shepherd and those who have a relationship with Him are His sheep.
Jesus said His sheep listens to Him and hears His voice. He said:
”When he has brought all his own sheep outside.
HE WALKS ON AHEAD OF THEM (in His guidance), and the sheep follow him because they know his voice and recognize his call.”
His relationship with those who have faith in Jesus includes guiding us based on our individual needs and circumstances.
GOD GUIDES US THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT:
Those who have faith in Jesus Christ (believers) are promised the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said in John 16:7, 13 AMP “
”But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go,
I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you]. But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth].
For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].”
The Holy Spirit is seen as a key way God communicates His guidance to us, prompting our hearts and minds.
God has given us the Holy spirit to guide us in all truth of God’s will and plan for us.GOD GUIDES US USING SCRIPTURE AS A COMPASS.
The Bible is considered a source of wisdom and direction, providing principles to navigate life’s situations.
To receive God’s guidance, we need to actively seek Him through prayer and studying scripture.
GOD GUIDES US AS WE SEEK HIS WILL IN PRAYER.
When we pray fervently, asking God for guidance, He hears us.
With God, we do not wander around like sheep without a Shepherd.
We do not have to grope in the dark as we are child of light.
We are meant to walk in the light of God’s word and everything He has prepared for us.
We must be cautious and not doubt God’s willingness to instruct teach and guide us in the way we should go.
God is more than willing to help us into His perfect plan if only we are willing to be led by Him.GOD ALSO USE OTHER PEOPLE AND CIRCUMSTANCES TO GUIDE US.
God sends people into our lives to guide us:
He would use matured and experienced believers to speak into our situations , and to shed light into our circumstances.

NOW LET US PRAY

Lord, we bless Your Holy Name, for continually guiding us into the center of Your will throughout our lives.
In Jesus Christ’s most precious name, I pray. Amen
Have a blessed day
