If we have hope for the future (Heaven), we will have power to live each day as Christians despite everything that we experience.
KEY REASONS FOR HOPE:
We are “children of God!”
1 John 3:1 AMP
”See what an incredible quality of love the Father has shown to us, that we would [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are!
For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”
We will “be like Him!”
1 John 3:2 AMP
”Beloved, we are [even here and] now children of God, and it is not yet made clear what we will be [after His coming]. We know that when He comes and is revealed, we will [as His children] be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is [in all His glory].”
We should be “pure!”
1 John 3:3 AMP
”And everyone who has this hope [confidently placed] in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure (holy, undefiled, guiltless).”
We’ve had the saying :”Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
The Word of God offers numerous reasons for hope, including:
God’s promises of a future and a plan for good (Jeremiah 29:11),
The assurance of God’s love and the Holy Spirit’s presence (Romans 5:5),
And the hope of eternal life (Titus 3:3-7).
NOW LET US PRAY
King of Glory, we are here to give You glory for this day.
Thank You Jesus for giving us hope eternal
Thank You Lord for considering us as Your children.
Father, give us the grace to be like You in all that we do.
Holy Spirit of the living God, give us the grace to be to be pure in Your presence.
Lord, abide with us at all times.
