Today is the fourth day, as we go throughout this week’s daily devotionals, to explore what pleases God in the life of the believer in Christ.
As a reminder, the intent is that we will all have some understanding of what pleases God so that we can align our lives to His desires with the help of His Holy Spirit.
NOW LET US CONTINUE TO EXPLORE WHAT PLEASES GOD.
Loving one another fulfills Christ’s command and pleases God.
In John 13:34-35 AMP, Jesus gave us a new commandment stating…
“I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.”
Keeping His commandments proves love and honors His name.
In John 14:15 AMP, Jesus said…
“If you [really] love Me, you will keep and obey My commandments.”
Trusting the Lord’s plan pleases Him more than understanding.
Proverbs 3:5-7 AMP commands…
“Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord [with reverent awe and obedience] and turn [entirely] away from evil.”
Also,Proverbs 8:13 AMP tells us…
“The [reverent] fear and worshipful awe of the Lord includes the hatred of evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way, And the perverted mouth, I hate.”
Pure motives and upright hearts delight the Lord’s heart.
Proverbs 21:2-3 AMP tells us that…
“Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs and examines the hearts [of people and their motives]. To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice [for wrongs repeatedly committed].”
Giving cheerfully and willingly pleases the heart of God.
2 Corinthians 9:7 AMP instructs us…
“Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift].”
In addition, Proverbs 22:9 AMP tells us…
“He who is generous will be blessed, For he gives some of his food to the poor.”

NOW LET US PRAY
Most Holy God, thank You for another day of life.
Fathers, as we seek to know what pleases You, meet us at the points of our needs.
Lord, open the eyes of our minds to discern what true pleases You.
Holy Spirit, reveal all that pleases You to us in Your own way.
Lord, lead, guide and direct us into the center of Your will and desires.
Lord Jesus, strengthen our resolves to seek and know what pleases You.
Help us dear Lord to identify Your desires and adjust our lives to align with Your will.
Empower us Lord, to do what pleases You in our lives, so that You are glorified.
Abide with us at all times Lord Jesus.
In Jesus Christ’s most precious name I pray. Amen ![]()
Have a blessed day ![]()
