Beloved, I don’t know about you, with the severity of uncertainties in the world around us, I confess that I am in need of God’s refuge.
To take refuge in God is a deliberate act. He is a shield for those who choose to take refuge in Him. We all need refuge!
2 Samuel 22:31, 35 AMP tells us:
”As for God, His way is blameless and perfect; The word of the Lord is tested. He is a shield to all those who take refuge and trust in Him. “He trains my hands for war, So that my arms can bend (pull back) a bow of bronze.”
When life is smooth and our days feel easy to navigate, we need refuge.
When life is difficult and heavy, we need refuge.
As the world around you changes, you can rest in the fact that God’s way is perfect and never changing.
When circumstances uproot your life, God’s Word is still true.
He is and always will be the safest place for you to run when troubles arise.
We are responsible for yourself but also for our children and household.
Today, those in our sphere of influence should see us run to Jesus. Let them see us find refuge in him when everything around you feels unsteady.
Sometimes, when others run to us as their safe place, we must lead them to the safest place – the arms of Jesus.
Proverbs 18:10 AMP declares that;
”The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous runs to it and is safe and set on high [far above evil].”
We have nothing to fear even as the world around us crumbles, when we run into the shelter of His name.
NOW LET US PRAY
Thank you, God, that you are dependable.
The world is ever changing, but you are a steady refuge; you never change.
Your ways are perfect, and your Word proves true.
Teach us Lord to find shelter in Your Holy name.
Teach me to run to you when trouble arises.
Let others see me deliberately run to you for refuge. All for Your glory, Lord.
