~ GOD WILL HELP YOU WITH GUIDANCE
Beloved, I do not have to tell you that the world we live in is quite unpredictable. The only thing that is certain is change itself. Our lives can change for good or bad any moment. Some of the changes we experience usually require that we make decisions.
I submit to you that the trajectory of our lives heavily depend on the daily decisions we make along the way.
In His unconditional love for us, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was aware of our needs for decision making and He knew we would need His guidance. In fact we are warned in Proverbs 3:5-6 not to think that we are wise in our own eyes.
Proverbs 3:5-7 AMP says:
”Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him,
And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord [with reverent awe and obedience] and turn [entirely] away from evil.”
It behooves us to humble ourselves and seek God’s guidance before we make ANY decision. After all He created us, He knows what is best for us in any and all situation that we may find ourselves, at any point in our lives. We must trust Him that He will not lead us astray because of His love for us.
The beauty of the intense love that our Lord Jesus has for each one of us, believers in Him is that He promised to guide us. IF WE LET HIM!
Jesus, knowing that He would soon be leaving His disciples here on earth made some powerful promises to His disciples and followers (me and you) in John 16.
Jesus said in John 16:7, 13, 15 AMP:
But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you].
But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes:
He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth].
For He will not speak on His own initiative,
but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and
He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].
READ THIS SLOWLY. (This is God’s guidance)
All things that the Father has are Mine.
Because of this I said that He [the Spirit] will take from what is Mine and will reveal it to you.”
READ THIS SLOWLY …(this is revelation of His will)
Here are a few more promises of His guidance for us from the Word of God:
Psalm 32:8 promises guidance and instruction for those who seek God’s counsel. When we open our hearts to His teaching, He leads us on the path of righteousness and wisdom. Let’s trust in God’s faithful guidance, knowing that He directs our steps with love and understanding towards a life of purpose and fulfillment.
Psalms 32:8 AMP says “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you.”
Isaiah 30:21 assures us that as we walk in God’s ways, His voice will guide us along the right path. By listening attentively to His direction, we can avoid straying off course and stay aligned with His will. Let’s tune our hearts to hear God’s gentle whispers, trusting in His guidance to lead us towards fulfillment and blessings.
Isaiah 30:21 AMP tells us “Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.”
Proverbs 16:9 highlights the importance of committing our plans to the Lord, recognizing that He establishes our steps. When we entrust our aspirations to God, we invite His direction and correction in our journey. Let’s embrace the truth that God’s guidance far surpasses our own understanding, leading us towards His perfect purpose.
Proverbs 16:9 AMP declares “A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them.”
NOW LET US PRAY (Pray Along)
Most loving Father, I am not sure what’s next in my life, however, because I know that my future is in Your capable hands,:this removes any fear or anxiety about my future. Lord, I trust You with my future. Times of change are sometimes hard for me even though they can be exciting. I pray for the presence of Your Holy Spirit to be with me and that You would help me to be aware of His presence in my everyday life. Teach me how to rely on the Holy Spirit, talk to the Holy Spirit, and more intimately know the Holy Spirit-this gift that Christ gave us when he left the earth. I am thankful to You that I don’t have to go through this alone, that I have a helper and a teacher in You. Give me a teachable heart.
Make me ready to listen and receive your wisdom, so 1 am prepared for whatever comes next. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray, Amen .
Have a blessed day
