Beloved, we serve a loving God who promised to meet our every needs.
We must trust Him to fulfill His promises, and wait on Him to do what only He can do when we are in need.
MATTHEW 6:25-33 tells us…
“Therefore, I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing?
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Therefore, do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
“Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself.
Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐔𝐒 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘
Lord God, we commit this day into Your holy hands.
We commit our needs into Your hands.
Thank You Father for Your promises to provide for us.
You have promised to feed and clothe us, and we ask that You grant us faith to trust You.
We know that by worrying over anything is not trusting You. But so often we find ourselves worrying and completely forgetting to bring our thoughts to You and trust You.
We pray that should we worry about anything today, that You will bring to our minds our need to give this into Your capable hands.
Lord, we know that You are trustworthy, and we know that You above all are able to help us in all our needs.
O God teach us how to seek Your kingdom first.
Lord, teach us about Your righteousness.
Holy Spirit, change our hearts to live for You and not for the things of this world.
Change our hearts so that we care about the way that we live enough to make changes.
Lord, we want to truly trust You, we want to be able to let go of things that hold us back.
We pray Lord that our testimonies will be one of living by faith in You.
We want to be able to tell others how You have provided for us.
We want to tell others instances of how You have worked in our lives.
We read about these in the Bible, and we read them in testimony books, and we know that sharing these things with those around can build up people’s faith.
We pray that as we walk with You today, that You will make us aware of times and instances that we need to trust You, and where we need to be asking for Your help.
Lord, we commit our worries into Your hands.
We commit our worries about tomorrow and the future into Your hands.
All we have is today. And we want this day to be one where we trust in You.
We pray Lord that You will continue to open up our hearts and continue to make us more aware of You.
We pray that our faith in You will grow and that our testimonies will bring honor to You .
