~ EXPERIENCING GOD’S GREAT LOVE FOR US.
Whenever, I pause myself to think about the intensity of God’s love for humanity [us His creation] I am always in awe and speechless with a sense of deep gratitude to Jehovah God, the EL ELYON (The Most High God)
This short devotional does not do justice to the dept of God’s love for those among us who choose to believe, trust and follow Him. But it’s a start.
GOD IS LOVE!
1 John 4:7-8 AMP tells us;
Beloved, let us [unselfishly] love and seek the best for one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves [others] is born of God and knows God [through personal experience].
The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for GOD IS LOVE [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.]”
Because of His love, God wants an intimate relationship with everyone He created. However, sin came into the world and fractured such relationships.
God out of His intense love came up with the plan of salvation than allowed God the son to come into the world to cleanse those who believe in Him
John 3:16-17 AMP says “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world [that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world], but that the world might be saved through Him.”

Even when we were unworthy (due to sin) His love made the crucifixion, death , burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ the ultimate redemption for us.

AGAIN SLOWLY.
Romans 5:8 AMP tells us “But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
God further revealed Himself that :
NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM HIS LOVE
Romans 8:31-39 AMP declares:
What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us?
He who did not spare [even] His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?
Who will bring any charge against God’s elect (His chosen ones)? It is God who justifies us [declaring us blameless and putting us in a right relationship with Himself].
Who is the one who condemns us? Christ Jesus is the One who died [to pay our penalty], and more than that, who was raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with the Father] for us.
Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ?
Will tribulation,
or distress,
or persecution,
or famine,
or nakedness,
or danger,
or sword?
Just as it is written and forever remains written, “For Your sake we are put to death all day long; We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].
For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that:
neither death,
nor life,
nor angels,
nor principalities,
nor things present and threatening,
nor things to come,
nor powers, nor height, nor depth,
nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
In addition we find God express His love in the promise that He will providing us with everything we need for life and godliness.
2 Peter 1:3-4 AMP “For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises [of inexpressible value], so that by them you may escape from the immoral freedom that is in the world because of disreputable desire, and become sharers of the divine nature.”
In a nutshell we experience God’s love by believing and trusting His expression of His love towards us and learn to LIVE OUR LIVES AS LOVED BY GOD. We love Him because He first loved us.
Our expression of loving God is by obeying His commands.
Jesus said in John 14:15 AMP that If you [really] love Me, you will keep and obey My commandments.”
NOW LET US PRAY
Loving God, Lord, no one has loved me the way you have.
Even when I was far from you, you called me and fought for me and stretched out your arm to save me.
Thank you for blessing me every day – for speaking to me, for listening to my prayers, for sustaining me, forgiving me, refusing to give up on me.
Thank you for protecting my soul.
