~ SCRIPTURAL INTRODUCTION
We are starting a new devotional series “EXPERIENCING THE GREATNESS OF GOD”. Therefore, we will do a quick review of scriptures that declares God’s greatness, the Bible is filled with declarations of His greatness.
Beloved, our God is a great God.
He is greater than the greatest,
Higher than the highest
He is the uncreated creator.
1 Chronicles 29:11-13 AMP declares:
”Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and on the earth;
Yours is the dominion and kingdom, O Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all.
In Your hand is power and might; and it is in Your hands to make great and to give strength to everyone.
Now therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name.”
Deuteronomy 10:17 AMP says
”For the Lord your God is the God of gods and the Lord of Lords, the great, the mighty, the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe.”
Deuteronomy 32:3-4 AMP declares:
”For I proclaim the name [and presence] of the Lord;
Ascribe greatness and honor to our God!
The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just;
A God of faithfulness without iniquity (injustice), Just and upright is He.”
Isaiah 40:28 AMP says;
”Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become tired or grow weary;
There is no searching of His understanding.”
Psalms 145:3 AMP declares;
”Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised,
And His greatness is [so vast and profound as to be] unsearchable [incomprehensible to man].”
Psalms 95:3 AMP “For the Lord is a great God And a great King above all gods,”
Psalms 96:4-6 AMP says;
”For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are [worthless, lifeless] idols, But the Lord made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before Him; Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.”
THE GREATNESS OF GOD IS ALL AROUND US.
The question is: Do we recognize it enough for us to experience such greatness in our lives?
NOW LET US PRAY
Great and mighty God, You are mighty in all Your ways. There’s no one like You. Lord, You are greater than the greatest. No one can fathom the vast of Your greatness. Lord, help us to experience You everyday of our lives. Reveal Your greatness to us as we engage in a new devotional series to help us experience You more. Holy Spirit, speak to us through Your Word as we embark on this study.
Abide with us at all times Lord. In the majestic name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
