🌺Beloved, the Bible tells us several times that God uses our brokenness to bless us for his glory.

🌺Also, before God blesses us He, a perfect God, in order to help us grow, desires to remove impurities from our lives before showering us with his blessings.

🌺God often breaks things in us before blessing us to make us more receptive to His blessings and conforms us to His image.

🌺In today’s devotional we will focus on those things (spiritual impurities) that God wants to remove from my lives before he can thoroughly bless us with his best. οΏΌ

πŸ’₯Such Impurities while not comprehensive, include;

πŽπ”π‘ ππ‘πˆπƒπ„ – in order to lead us to humility

🌺We cannot function as TRUE followers of Christ if we hold on to our pride. Pride is the essence of Satan, which was why he was thrown out of heaven.

(James 4:6).

πŸ“’ In James‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭AMP‬‬. We are told…

πŸŸ₯” But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation]. Therefore, it says,

πŸ‘‰πŸΎGod is opposed to the proud and haughty, but [continually] gives [the gift of] grace to the humble [who turn away from self-righteousness].” [Prov 3:34]

🌺So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.”

‭‭

πŽπ”π‘ 𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅-π‘π„π‹πˆπ€ππ‚π„ – so that we do not miss out on God’s power and guidance(2 Corinthians 1:8-9).

🌺God wants us to rely (depend) on Him in all situation so that we can build an intimate relationship with Him. He loves us like that!

πŸ“’ ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭AMP‬‬ says;

πŸŸ₯” For we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about our trouble in [the west coast province of] Asia [Minor], how we were utterly weighed down, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life [itself]. Indeed, we felt within ourselves that we had received the sentence of death [and were convinced that we would die, but this happened] so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead.”

πŸ“’ Proverbs‬ ‭28‬:‭13‬ ‭AMP‬‬ declares;

πŸŸ₯” He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, But whoever confesses and turns away from his sins will find compassion and mercy. [Ps 32:3, 5; 1 John 1:8-10]”

‭‭

πŽπ”π‘ π–πˆπ‹π‹- to understand and follow God’s will (Psalms 28:7, 51:17).

πŸ“’ Psalms‬ ‭28‬:‭7‬ ‭AMP‬‬ says;

πŸŸ₯” The Lord is my strength and my [impenetrable] shield; My heart trusts [with unwavering confidence] in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I shall thank Him and praise Him.”

‭‭

πŽπ”π‘ 𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐑 -to step into His purpose and experience His blessings(2 Timothy 1:7).

πŸ“’ 2 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬ ‭AMP‬‬ says;

πŸŸ₯” For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].”

‭‭

πŽπ”π‘ π’π“π”πππŽπ‘πππ„π’π’ – in order to be more willing to listen and obey Him(Ezekiel 36:26-27).

πŸ“’ Ezekiel‬ ‭36‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭AMP‬‬ promised

πŸŸ₯” Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My ordinances and do them.”

πŽπ”π‘ π’πˆπ 𝐀𝐍𝐃 π’ππˆπ‘πˆπ“π”π€π‹ π€ππ€π“π‡π˜ – to restore us (Psalms 51:10, Ephesians 4:19).

πŸ“’ Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭10‬ ‭AMP‬‬ says;

πŸŸ₯” Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me.”

‭‭

🌺God’s breaking are often painful and challenging but are parts of God’s refining process, leading to growth, transformation, and a deeper connection with Him.

β€β€πŸ“’1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭AMP‬‬ tells us…

πŸŸ₯”After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be].”

ππŽπ– 𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐔𝐒 ππ‘π€π˜

πŸ”₯Holy God, we confess all our brokenness to You and You alone.

πŸ”₯Father, we pray that You would take away all our brokenness and use them to draw us closer to You, Lord.

πŸ”₯We pray that You help us to discern those things that are broken in us, and help us overcome them through the power of the Holy Spirit.

πŸ”₯Abide with us and our loved ones at all times. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen πŸ™πŸΎ
