Beloved, God created us to worship Him. Therefore, it behooves us to understand ways to do so.
Hebrews 12:28 AMP encourages:
”Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, and offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship with reverence and awe;”
Prayer as a communication with God through spoken or written words, expressing our needs, thanks and praise(Matthew 6:9-10).
Matthew 6:9-10 AMP admonish us:
”Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. [Luke 11:2-4] ‘Your kingdom come, Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.”
Personal Bible study is a way to worship God as we read and reflect on the bible to understand God’s teachings and will through the Holy Spirit(2 Timothy 2:15).
2 Timothy 2:15 AMP instructs:
”Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.”
Singing and music using songs and hymns to praise and worship God(Ephesians 5:19).
Ephesians 5:19 AMP encourages us:
”Speak to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, [offering praise by] singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;”
Church attendance or participating in church services like sermons and communal prayer (Hebrews 10:25).
Hebrews 10:25 AMP encourages:
”not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.”
Acts of service by helping others and other performing acts of kindness as a way to serve God(Matthew 25:40).
Matthew 25:40 AMP tells us:
”The King will answer and say to them, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it for Me.’ ”
Giving thanks by recognizing and expressing gratitude for God’s blessings(Psalms 107:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Psalms 107:1 AMP instructs us :
”O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His compassion and lovingkindness endure forever!”
Appreciation of the beauty of God’s creation as a way to connect with God(Romans 1:20; Psalms 19:1, 8:1).
Romans 1:20 AMP tells us;
”For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense.”
Participation in group bible studies, soul winning, prayer meetings, church outreaches planting and other church ministries(Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 15:58).
Mark 16:15 AMP commands us:
”And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
NOW LET US PRAY
Holy God, thank You for creating us to worship You.
Father, give us the grace to worship You in spirit and truth.
Lord, give us the desire to love and worship You with everything that You have blessed us with.
