Beloved, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FIGHT!
One of my favorite verses in the Bible are Psalm 46:10-11.
Here, we are told: ”“Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]. Selah.“
We are told in Exodus 14:14 ”The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.”“
When we are in the middle of a battle, it is natural for us to want to fight whatever we’re battling. Fighting alone in our flesh can prove futile atimes. However, our loving God, just as He told the Israelites through Moses, is telling us to STAND STILL because He will fight for us. WE MUST TRUST THAT GOD WILL DO WHAT HE PROMISED TO DO. He will fight our battles for us, if we trust Him and be still in His presence.
LET US PRAY
Great and Mighty God, thank You for loving us and for fighting our battles for us. Thank You for fighting battles that we didn’t even know about. We pray that the Holy Spirit will empower us to be still and calm as we trust You to fight our battles. Help us to keep our focus on You as we remain still amidst any battle that Satan throws at us. Glory to Your name for the VICTORY that we have in You. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen
