The Bible consistently portrays God as limitless and all-powerful, emphasizing that what is completely impossible for human beings is fully possible for Him.
Throughout scripture, God is presented as the Creator who transcends human limitations, time, and natural laws to fulfill His purposes.
Human Limitations vs. Divine Power
Us humans are limited in what we are capable of on our own.
I submit to you that whether we believe it or not, we are totally dependent on God for everything in our lives.
God is our source.
Jesus speaks this as part of the “Vine and the Branches” metaphor:
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (NIV)
The Bible frequently contrasts our human weakness with God’s absolute power, assuring believers that no circumstance is beyond His control.
Matthew 19:26:
Jesus famously states, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Luke 1:37:
When the angel Gabriel announced miraculous pregnancies to Mary and her relative Elizabeth, he declared, “For nothing will be impossible with God.”
Jeremiah 32:17:
The prophet Jeremiah echoes this truth, praying, “Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.”

Ephesians 3:20: The apostle Paul writes that God is “able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”

The Bible backs up its claims about the “God of the impossible” with dramatic real-world examples, from creation and the parting of the Red Sea to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, demonstrating that God regularly makes a way where there seems to be no way.

Holy God, thank You for this beautiful day in our lives.
Thank You Lord Jesus for being a God of impossibilities.
Thank You for making what seems impossible to be possible.
Holy Spirit, help us to trust You with our impossible situations.
Holy Spirit, abide with each one of us in our going in and going out throughout this today.
