🌺Beloved, the Bible encourages Christian meditation, which involves actively and thoughtfully reflecting on God’s Word, his character, and his works in and through us. Unlike other practices of meditation which requires emptying the mind.

🌺This biblical form of meditation aims to nurture a deeper relationship with God, promote spiritual growth, and shape one’s thoughts and actions to align with God’s will.

🌺We are to prayerfully select a scripture to meditate on.

🌺We should focus on the selected scripture. This means to ponder, reflect, or mutter, suggesting a deep and continuous engagement with God’s truths.

🌺 I am referring to intentional, concentrated and uninterrupted focus on the Word of God (selected scripture)

πŸ“’Joshua 1:8 AMP tells us…

β•οΈβ€œThis Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.”

π…πˆπ‹π‹πˆππ† 𝐓𝐇𝐄 πŒπˆππƒ

🌺We are to fill our mind with thoughts related to the selected scripture.

πŸ“’Philippians 4:8 AMP encourages us…

β•οΈβ€œFinally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].”

π…πˆππƒπˆππ† π†πŽπƒβ€™π’ π–πˆπ‹π‹

🌺We should pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what God wants to communicate to us through the scripture.

🌺We are to identify God’s desire (His will ) within the scripture text.

πŸ“’Psalms 143:10 AMP prays…

β•οΈβ€œTeach me to do Your will [so that I may please You], For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”

π…πŽπ‹π‹πŽπ–πˆππ† π†πŽπƒβ€™π’ π–π€π˜

🌺Reflecting on Scripture helps us believers to understand God’s will, leading to increased wisdom and the ability to live righteously following God’s way.

πŸ“’Psalms 119:15 AMP teaches that…

β•οΈβ€œI will meditate on Your precepts And [thoughtfully] regard Your ways [the path of life established by Your precepts].”

πŸ“’Psalms 104:34 AMP also prays…

β•οΈβ€œMay my meditation be sweet and pleasing to Him; As for me, I will rejoice and be glad in the Lord.”

π…πŽπ‘πŒπˆππ† π†πŽπƒπ‹π˜ π“π‡πŽπ”π†π‡π“π’

🌺We are to allow God’s truth to work deep within our hearts, thoughts and mind, which is an active process, not a passive one. These thoughts lead to our desire to obey Gods will.

🌺This is how our lives are transformed for the glory of God.

πŸ“’Psalms 19:14 AMP prays…

⭕️”Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my [firm, immovable] rock and my Redeemer.”

πŸ”₯Most gracious God, thank You for giving us Your Word.

πŸ”₯Thank You for Jesus Christ, through whom You reconciled us to You. And we can actually call You Abba Father.

πŸ”₯Holy Spirit, teach us to mediate on the Word of God so we can know and understand His will for our lives.

πŸ”₯Lord Jesus, abide with us at all times, as we abide with you.

πŸ”₯Surround us with favor like a shield.

πŸ”₯In Jesus Christ’s most powerful name, I pray. Amen πŸ™πŸΎ
