The Bible often uses storms to represent life’s trials and challenges.

In fact, Jesus assures us that life will give us challenges.

He also assures us that He has overcome the world.

John 16:33 AMP

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace.

In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering,

but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]”

𝐆𝐎𝐃’𝐒 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐌𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐌

Matthew 8:26 AMP

“He said to them, “Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was [at once] a great and wonderful calm [a perfect peacefulness].”

“For You have been a stronghold for the helpless, A stronghold for the poor in his distress, A shelter from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of tyrants Is like a rainstorm against a wall.”

Luke 8:23-25 AMP

“But as they were sailing, He fell asleep. And a fierce gale of wind swept down [as if through a wind tunnel] on the lake, and they began to be swamped, and were in great danger. They came to Jesus and woke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are about to die!”

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging, violent waves, and they ceased, and it became calm [a perfect peacefulness]. And He said to them, “Where is your faith [your confidence in Me]?”

They were afraid and astonished, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the sea, and they obey Him?””

Psalms 107:28 AMP

“Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He brought them out of their distresses.”

Beloved, I submit to you that God uses storms for His purposes: Sometimes God allows storms to display His power, bring people to repentance, or move them toward their destiny.

He can also turn difficult situations around for our good and the benefit of others.

𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐔𝐒 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘

Merciful God, thank You Lord for being the Lord of any storm that we face.

I pray that You would speak “peace be still” to every storm that we encounter.

Holy Spirit, hide us under the shadows of Your wings until the storm in our lives subsides.

Thank You, Lord Jesus for standing with us through the storms in our lives.

I pray that You would help us to overcome any storms that we find ourselves.

Help us to trust You, Lord Jesus so we can grow through any storm.

Abide with us always Jesus as we abide in You.

In Jesus Christ’s most precious name I pray. Amen
